Ce dernier a tout d'abord salué les nouveaux et anciens élus tant pour de leur engagement au sein de leurs communes respectives qu'au sein du Foyer Rural du canton de Braine. </p> <p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://storage.canalblog.com/21/17/210770/26616100.jpg" target="_blank"><img height="338" alt="AGBRAINEFOYER2" src="http://storage.canalblog.com/21/17/210770/26616100_p.jpg" width="450" border="0" /></a></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Un petit film - issu du film réalisé pour les 35 ans du foyer - retraçait l'historique de ce lieu de rencontre tout en saluant la mémoire du fondateur Pierre Jacquemet et de Jacques Pelletier qui a toujours œuvré en faveur du foyer et des familles (<a href="http://foyerruralbraine.canalblog.com/archives/2008/01/23/index.html">voir l'article sur Pierre Jacquemet</a>). Alain Foucon soulignait le nouveau souffle du Foyer Rural qui, après plusieurs années difficiles, se retrouve avec un équilibre financier très serein. Cela résulte de l'arrêt de l'école de musique au sein du foyer mais aussi d'activités multiples et variées qui s'adressent à toutes les catégories de personnes. </p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Michel Chausson président de la Fédération Départementale des Foyers Ruraux affirmait que le foyer brainois est une vitrine du département. Tour à tour, Ernest Templier conseiller général, François Rampelberg maire et Michel Teneur ancien maire confirmaient leur solidarité tout en remarquant la multitude d'actions du foyer. </p> <p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://storage.canalblog.com/01/59/210770/26616553.jpg" target="_blank"><img height="338" alt="AGBRAINEFOYER1" src="http://storage.canalblog.com/01/59/210770/26616553_p.jpg" width="450" border="0" /></a></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Comme l'expliquait le directeur, certains animateurs sont des professionnels mais le bénévolat tient également une place primordiale tant dans l'encadrement d'activités que dans l'aide logistique et humaine. <em>«De plus, de nombreux liens d'amitiés se nouent entre tous les bénévoles et le foyer accueille de plus en plus de nombreux liens d'amitiés se nouent entre tous les bénévoles et le foyer accueille de plus en plus de partenaires à l'image de </em><em>l'Education Nationale, de la communauté de communes, des foyers ruraux départementaux et bien d'autres...»</em>, affirmait Dominique Copin.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Les actions du foyer se déclinent en direction de l'enfance et la jeunesse (accueil de loisirs, périscolaire, séjours, informatique, atelier guitare...) mais aussi les adultes et les familles (informatique, peinture, randonnée, gymnastique...). Le foyer est également moteur de l'animation locale avec les associations brainoises.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Pour 2008 de nombreux rendez-vous sont encore fixés : fête de la musique, théâtre, spectacle de danse contemporaine, récompenses au judo, centre de loisirs et passeports ados, journée médiévale, cinquantième anniversire du jumelage franco belge, expositions, rencontres théâtrales... Plusieurs classes de l'arrondissement de Soissons ont donc eu la visite de la Compagnie Nomade, où des comédiens professionnels ont apporté leur savoir faire aux élèves.
